 children after war

the sounds become the toys
of the bombs breaking like crackers
bullets sticking on the doors
started dancing like glass balls
the flower blossoms on every wound
opening eyes in dripping blood
after the war
children peeled off death
like dead skin

deep inside
sitting near the wall of fear
sleeps humanity
amidst the stony crowdedness
cruelty grows like grass

passing through war
children
suddenly forget their childhood

Loan of moonlight

If I count all the steps
I took with you
My feet will forget to walk
And the root will not remember the way

If I calculate all the moments
I spent with you
Breath of time will stop

You can’t realize
The warmth of love
Which grilled my heart

Every step of yours
All nearness
Every drop of love
Was taken as loan
From moonlight.

She who is becoming a jungle

Whatever He said
She agreed to everything
He said, your eyes are lotus petals;
She said, so are they!
He said, your nose is like a parrot’s beak
She said, so it is!
And lips cherries, teeth pomegranate seeds
Breast, waist, and thighs
…………………….
She touched every piece of her body
Kept on saying with closed eyes
Yes…yes…yes

Now she is a little bit of vegetation, a little bit of a bird,
A little bit of an animal, and even a piece of sky
Branches blossom, flowers get dried up
And a seed drops from the womb
Becoming a tree, starts on a journey

This time she could not say Yes….yes
Every hair starts falling one by one
As a complete jungle, she starts thinking
Why didn’t any one say:
“Most beautiful is your womb”

Woman While Loving

While making love
She has to be careful
To look like ignorant
While laughing
Her smile should be frozen like ice
Kisses of monsoon
Should shine on lips like
The warm sunshine of winter

She wants to spread like green moss
On the chest of her beloved
But remains shrunken
Like the grass of a lawn

A woman who is in love:
How much unfulfilled she is,
Even while loving.
