Massimo Sannelli

Massimo Sannelli was born in 1973. He was educated at Genoa University and the Fondazione Franceschini (Florence). He lives and works in Genoa since 1992. His last books of poems–a part of the being he calls “second body”, or literature–are Santa Cecilia e l’angelo (Atelier, 2005), Venti sonetti (La Camera Verde, 2006), Lo schermo (Feaci, 2006). He is also the author of Philologia Pauli (Fara, 2006), an essay–with a little series of original poems–about Pier Paolo Pasolini’s poetical works and death. Sannelli’s poems are translated in English by Chiara Daino (born in 1981), songwriter, novelist and actress: her first novel, La Merca, has been published by the publisher Fara (2006), after an editing by Sannelli.
