Kritya
completes a joyous second year and here we are with this last
issue for this year. Kritya is released on the first day of
every month. The journey of Kritya was not exactly trouble-free,
but was made possible because of the wholehearted love of our
readers and contributors. We keep on getting support from all
quarters, in terms of encouraging words and praise as well as in
the form of excellent submissions of creative material from
poets and artists. In the course of the last two years, Kritya
could bring out several unique issues like – a special number
for Australian poetry, another as a tribute to the Indian poet
Ayyappa Paniker and yet another for Italian poetry. Moreover,
Kritya is now registered as a foundation for Arts, Culture and
Literature.
In the meantime, Kritya has established herself as an important
journal in the international poetic world. Our journey is a
forward one. We are planning to celebrate an international
festival of poetry in the coming month.
We believe that poetry exists not only in words; it is there in
music, painting, acting and even in every act which takes us to
beauty or that which makes our life beautiful. Poetry never
ignores other emotions of life, it gives them voice. In our
festival we are reviving the voices of different cultures in the
hope of making them heard and appreciated. We welcome our
readers’ suggestions in this regard.
This final issue of Kritya’s successful second year is as
interesting as our past issues. Our Master in this issue is
Nizar Qabbani, whose poetry is a good example of beautiful
simplicity. Editor’s Choice this time is the Russian poet Vera
Zubarev along with her photography. In the section In the Name
of Poetry, the Italian Poet Antonio Diavoli is presenting a very
interesting thought in beautiful poetic language. As usual, we
have poetry from poets belonging to different parts of the
world. The picture depicted on the Editor’s Choice page is taken
from the paintings by Vera Zubarev, and the other main paintings
are provided by our artist Vijendra Vij. Enjoy a different
dimension of Vijendra’s paintings here!
Friends, I thank you all on behalf of the Kritya team for having
made our journey so successful and exhilarating, I earnestly
hope that you will continue your support in the coming years
also.
