Please others,
Or please thyself,
Whichever is more fuller?
Does thou gain by pleasing others?
Or do thy value 'their' pleasure more?
Try not to judge,
Based on societal standards,
For every human is unique,
And precious.
Know thyself.
Accept thyself.
Honour thyself.
If not,
Then try to.
Aren't we weary?
Are we merely temporal?
Or are we eternal?
Or is it all beyond our ken?
Aren't we weary,
Of the bathos of life?
Seeming very lustrous,
Yet so trivial.
Aren't we weary,
By the conspicuousness,
By the hastiness,
Which the 'bon ton' demand?
Are we to succumb?
Are we to struggle,
With the fear of failing?
Or ought we,
To struggle withal?
