Dr.
Rati Saxena specialized in
the study of the Vedas, especially Atharva Veda, and secured a
Ph.D. Degree in Sanskrit from the University of Rajasthan,
Jaipur She has published four collections of her own poems in
Hindi. One in Malayalam, two in English and a critical work in
Hindi on the renowned Malayalam poet Balamani Amma (Sahitya
Akedemy). Her recent work is research on Atharvaveda -'The seeds
of mind' a fresh approach to study of Atharvaveda with the
fellowship of Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts. She has
translated about ten Malayalam works, both prose and poetry,
into Hindi and has participated in several national seminars and
published articles in a number of journals. She is the recipient
of Kendriya Sahitya Akedemy award for translation in year-2000

Surjit Patar,
did Ph.D in Punjabi on Elements of Folklore in the
Poetry of Guru Nanak Dev. He retired as Professor of Punjabi
from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.
He started writing poetry in mid-sixties to emerge as the
foremost Punjabi poet today. In 1995, he was given the
prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award for his Hanere vich Sulghdi
Varnmala. He has won numerous other Awards in India and abroad.
Singers of national and international repute have sung his
soulful ghazals and songs, and he himself is an accomplished
singer.
His has published four books of poems - Hawa vich Likhe Harf
(words written inthe air), Birkh Arz Kar (thus speaks the
tree), Hanere vich Sulghdi Varnmala (words smouldering in the
dark) and Lafzanh di Dargah (shrine of words). He has translated
into Punjabi the three tragedies of Garcia Lorca, the play Nag
Mandala of Girish Karnad, and poems of Bertolt Brecht and Pablo
Neruda. He has also adapted plays from Giradoux, Euripides and
Racine.
Prof Patar has written tele-scripts on Punjabi poets from Sheikh
Farid of the 13th century to Amrita Pritam of the 20th. He is the President of
Punjabi Sahitya Akademi, Ludhiana, and member of the General
Council of Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and its Punjabi Board.

Secretary General Punjab Arts Council is an art lover . he has
worked in the field of Punjabi folk music, which is
gradually loosing
its roots from Punjab. He brought out various records of
such folk songs and folk instruments. he is also involve

Singh - Dr. Nahar Singh, Secretary, Punjab Sahit Akademi, is
an eminent Folklorist who have done a significant contribution
for the study of Punjab Folk Songs and Folk arts with latest
approaches in social sciences. His ten volume research work on
folklore of Punjab is unique in its study and documentation. At
present he is working as Professor, Department of Punjabi,
Panjab University, Chandigarh

Prof. K. Satchidanandan -
former Secretary of the Sahitya
Akademi(the National Academy of Letters, India), is an
internationally recognised poet, critic, translator and editor.
He has 22 collections of poetry, 16 collections of translations
of poetry, 20 works of literary criticism including two in
English, 4 plays and 3 travelogues to his credit. He has
received 21 awards at regional, national and international
levels. His collections of poetry have appeared in 16 languages
including English, French, Italian and German.He has edited
eight journals including Indian Literature, Sahitya Akademi’s
bimonthly and several anthologies of poetry,shortstories and
essays in Malayalam, English and Hindi.He has travelled across
the world, reading and lecturing and representes India in
several international fairs and festivals including The Sarajevo
Poetry days, Berlin Literary Festival, Frankfurt Book
Fair, Leipzig Book Fair, Paris Book Fair, Lahore Book Fair, The
Indo-Arab Literary Festival at AbuDhabi, The Festivals of
Culture in the USSR and in China, Writers Exchange Programmes in
Syria, France, Italy , Sweden and the U.S.A.
Dr.
Satinder Singh Noor -Vice President Sahitya Akademi and An
Eminent Punjabi litterateur , Poet and critic. Along
several awards He is recipient of kendra Sahitya Akedemi's award
for his book of criticism Kavita di Bhoomika. Noor is an
institution in the world of Punjabi letters and known for his
love of poetry and poets. He has been an admirer of the poetry
of Surjeet Patar and Amitoj. Noor himself pens poetry but is
better known for his criticism. A former head of the Department
of Punjabi, Delhi University, and editor of Punjabi Akademi
journal Samdarshi, Noor wields great power in the Punjabi
literary circles. However, what he is liked most for is his good
nature and the spirit of Punjabiyat deeply entrenched in him.Prof Vishvnath Tiwari -Hindi write and Advisor Sahitya Akademi
Agnishekhar- A widely travelled man who has been spreading
awareness about the issue of genocide of Kashmir Pandit ethnic
minority world over, He is a sensitive writer who has made a
significant contribution to world of Hindi literature in the
country, the immense pain, hurt and the sense of betrayal on
being hounded out of Kashmir valley on the basis of faith and
religion has been too magnanimous.( Hindi/Kashmiri)
Margus Lattik was born in Tallinn, Estonia in
1973. Lattik is known also under the name of Mathura and is the
author of five poetry collections, numerous essay, song lyrics and several art exhibitions. For
more than a decade, he has been involved in translating
classical Indian literature into Estonian, most notably the epic
'Bhagavadgita' (publ. in 2000). His poetry has been welcomed
warmly, it has been nominated to several awards and translated
into five other languages.
Margus Lattik is a member of the literary group Apartners (Erakkond).
He is basically an English philologist, though he has also
researched topics of art and film.
Prof Uday Narayan
is a reputed poet, playwright and
essayist in Maithili and Bengali. He has published four
collections of poems and eleven plays in Maithili, as well as
six books of literary essays and two volumes of poetry in
Bengali, besides translating several books. He holds a doctoral
degree in Linguistics from the University of Delhi and is
currently the Director of the Central Institute of Indian
Languages, Mysore. Singh has visited and lectured in a large
number of countries including Bangladesh, the Caribbean, France,
Germany, Italy, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Sweden,
Thailand and USA. He was a member of the Indo-Italian Cultural
Exchange Programme for Creative Writers (1999), a member of the
Official delegation to Trinidad and Tobago (2002), Mauritius
(2005) and a poet-invitee at the Frankfurt Book Fair – India
Guest of Honour presentation (2006).
Chandra
Prakash Deval- Born 1949, Rajasthani and Hindi poet, and
translator, Deval received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1979 for
his first poetry collection Paagi. His other collections include
Maarag, Kaavad, Topnama, Udeek Puran (Rajasthani) and the Meera
Award winning Bolo Madhavi (Hindi). Besides translating the
Upanishads, Fyodor Dostoyevesky’s Crime and Punishment and
Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, he has also translated major
Indian poets like Sitakant Mahapatra, Haribhajan Singh, Subhash
Mukhopadhyay, Kedarnath Singh , Sitanshu Yashaschandra, Ashok
Vajpeyi, Ramakant Rath and K. Satchidanandan into Rajasthani.
Recently he has completed his monumental bilingual edition of
Suryamall Misan’s classic epic Vansh Bhaskar. His other awards
include Bharatiya Bhasa Parishad Samman and Sahitya Akademi’s
translation award.
Mr. Vijendra Vij –
Artist and Poet . He has started his career, as
a freelance painter, the realm of modernism abstract art in
Indian traditions. He has painted series of paintings on
the themes of Women's, Musician, Dancing, Photo-Session, Mother
and child, Women with a-parrot / bird / lamb), Human
Relationships, Life-scapes, The girl, Fear, Insane, Hope, Life
Insatiate, The last century, Lonely Voyager, Exploitation,
Relaxation, Pain, She's, Three - Sisters, Dissolution, The
Silence, Solitude & Compositions - all these titles which, he
has given to my creative visual expressions. He talks about his
experiences - 'My mix of colors is abstract and I bring about
the levelness and the environment governing my characters at any
given moment mixing with intimate thoughts and depict them on
the canvas. I want to express these in my own creative visual
imagery. My style of painting is based on experimental studies
in different medium. Oil, Water & Computer graphics become
strong medium of the reflection of my vivid perception and under
standing of managing human value to achieve individuality. '
Mr. Amit kalla -
Amit is a young artist and a mature poet. He Studied Art
History, N.M.I, New Delhi. He has many arts exhibitions (Solo
and group )in his credit. He had Worked for International
art exhibition, Japan. he is Pursuing research work on
BHAKTI Literature and Artistic Notions of Rajasthan. He is also
doing a Detailed studies on TANTRIC Art. He got variuse
awards like- • Bhartiya Jnanpith Navlekhan puraskar 07 for
Poetry Collection (Hone Na Hone Se Pare), Satya Shanti Samman
07, Jhanwar Smriti Puraskar 07 for Paintings. he feels about his
art - 'Energy I feel is the essence of all processes in the
cosmos. And all uses of art are somewhere somehow connected to
the same essence. Whichever the form---painting, Energy I feel
is the essence of all processes in the cosmos. sculpture, music,
dance, poetry....'
Shalbha is
a young artist, singer and sportsperson. She
is an architect and masters in advanced construction
management. She is creative, responsible and has good
organization and leadership skills. She is working as a senior
Manager in a construction company.
Dr Rahul Gosawi is
a doctor, interested in Music and other arts form, practicing
Doctor in Pune. he says saving life it self is a art.

Shyamala Nair is Currently working as reader in Lady
Amritbai Daga College for Women, (L.A.D.) Nagpur. Areas of
academic and teaching interest include Modern poetry, Critical
Theory, Women’s Studies, Shakespeare studies… Was member of
Larkin Society and The Poetry Society of India besides others….

Manhattan. Her poems, short stories and articles have appeared
in various journals, periodicals, anthologies, and on websites

with some of her photographs. She recently edited the anthology
World's Strand for publication, and Goldfish Press is bringing
out a collection with poet Koon Kau Woon in 2007. Joneve offers

Christina Pacosz has been publishing in little magazines
and small presses since the 1970's and has several books of
poetry, the most recent, Greatest Hits, 1975-2001,Pudding House,
2002. She is teaching urban youth in Kansas City, Missouri
