Dear Rati ji
Thanks for your nice letter. It was indeed your initiative and enthusiasm
that made Kritya-2008 a memorable event. I met so many new distinguised
literary personalities of India and from abroad. I will not forget those
three days. Say my hello to your lovely daughter shelbha (sp.) and please
extend my thanks to her - my poems were perfectly displayed in English.
Hoping to remain in touch
and with best regards

Hello Rati,

Dear Rati,
It is I who should thank you! It was a wonderful occasion of interaction and a herculean task that you managed to arrange Kritya-2008.
I reached Itanagar last evening. Feeling a bit tired after so much travelling. But I hope we will meet up again and maybe you will visit the north east too.
For now, with much love and many thanks again,
mamang Dai

Rati, I am enjoying reading the Festival issue of Kritya. Thank you
for your contribution to the world's poetry. I agree with your
Festival's mission:

"Poetry is indeed the most neglected but most important path to real
knowledge and understanding in modern society. It is a human approach
that will help us understand our universe, environment, society and
self. This is the understanding which would lead us to more enduring
resolutions."

I so appreciated your invitation to attend your Festival and wish I
could have been there in person, but I was with you in spirit. I will
certainly relish reading the gifts contained in Kritya.

All best--Kim Kimberly L. Becker

Dear Rati,
I want to wish you all the best with your festival and also tell you how deeply saddened I am by what has just happened in your country--my heart is with the people of Bombay (the place I always wanted to go) and with all of India and especially with you for all your kindness and inspiration and your strength of character to create such a beautiful event and to work so hard for what is truly important. I will be with you in spirit at the festival!
Thank you for your beautiful spirit--

Dear Rati,

I am very thankful to have won the contest. I had no idea when I entered that I would
win, and almost did not enter because I didn't think I could win. It came as a big
surprise. And it was wonderful to have my book distributed at the festival.

I have seen the website and it looks nice. All my poems can run togetther without
titles. Is that a picture of the cover--the woman holding the bird against the black
background with the title "Elegies for Mary?" What a beautiful cover!

I would like to know (out of curiosity) how many entered the contest? This is such a
wonderful thing. I can be happy about it for months..

Dear Ratiji
congratulations on the just-concluded poetry festival! I read Linda Benninghoff's poems. They are a delight. In fact the whole Kritya issue is a very sophisticated collection.

You had asked me to get in touch with you in December. I have a submission for the next issue for the section "in the name of poetry"... Four poems and four sketches. You can say they are visual poetry.

Please let me know when I can send them to you. In the meanwhile, I have had poems published in SHEHER anthology (Frog Books), Lit Up Music, Muse India and The Tornonto Quarterly, also a fiction coming up in a collection (Mirage Books).
Take care.

Dear Rati,

thank you so much, it is lovely to see them in Hindi.

I am now back in Estonia. The weather was gloomy for the first days, but now it is
snowing, which is nice. I will be opening an art exhibition next week and keep busy with
creative works. Life goes on.

Once again, thanks,

and hope to hear from you again.

With best regards,
Margus Lattik

Kritya is very important to me.

John Guzlowski and I are getting some wonderful submissions of poetry and I have asked a friend who is a published writer from Detroit to write about Polish poetry from her perspective. Kritya has these prose pieces in some issues about various topics regarding poetry and I wanted to include something similar. I also have art by Poles in the public domain which can be used, so we are well on our way to at least "filling" up the May 2009 Kritya!!!! Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to do this fine work!!!

Happiest holidays to you and your family!!

Warmly,
Christina Pacosz
