रति सक्सेना
डा. रति सक्सेना कवि, आलोचक,
अनुवादक और वेद शोधिका है । हिन्दी में चार ( माया
महा ठगिनी, अजन्मी कविता की कोख से जन्मी कविता,
और सपने देखता समुद्र, एक खिड़की आठ सलाखें ), अंग्रेजी में
दो और मलयालम में एक ( अनूदित
) कविता संग्रह प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं
। (हिन्दी में दो और
कविता संग्रह तथा अंग्रेजी में एक कविता संग्रह शीघ्र
प्रकाशित होने वाले हैं )वेदों को आधार बना कर
लिखे गए लेख अपने विशेष दृष्टिकोण के
कारण पठनीय रहें हैं । देश की करीब-
करीब सभी भाषाओं में रति सक्सेना की
कविताएँ अनूदित हुईं हैं । कई कविताओं के अनुवाद अंग्रेजी में अन्य देशों की
पत्रिकाओं (वरसल -
निदरलैण्ड, एडगर - टेक्सास, गम बाल
पोयेट्री - अमेरिका,
सोल टू सोल, एर्गो बोट, आदि विदेशी
पत्रिकाओं ) में भी प्रकाशित हुए है । ईरान
की Golestaneh नामक पत्रिका में रति सक्सेना की कविताओं और जीवन को
लेकर एक विशेष अंक निकाला गया है। अग्रेजी पत्रिका
andwerve
में रति सक्सेना से विशेष भेंट वार्ता प्रकाशित
की गई है।
रति सक्सेना ने कविता और गद्य की
11 पुस्तकों का मलयालम से हिन्दी
में अनुवाद भी किया है जिसके लिए उन्हें वर्ष
2000 में केन्द्र
साहित्य अकादमी का अवार्ड मिला । मलयालम की कवयित्री बालामणियम्मा
को केन्द्र में रख कर एक आलोचनात्मक पुस्तक लिखी
( बालामणियम्मा , काव्य कला और दर्शन
) रति सक्सेना का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कार्य है अथर्ववेद को
आधार बना कर लिखी पुस्तक " ए सीड आफ माइण्ड -
ए फ्रेश अप्रोच टू अथर्ववेदिक स्टडी" जिसके लिए उन्हे " इन्दिरा
गाँधी राष्ट्रीय कला केन्द्र " फेलोशिप मिली । रति सक्सेना

Writing most
of her life, Christina Pacosz’ most recent book is Greatest
Hits, 1975 – 2001, Pudding House, 2002. Her poems appear in
hundreds of print and online journals. Her chapbook, Notes from
the Red Zone, originally published in 1983 by Seal Press in
their anti-nuclear series, has been selected by Ron Mohring of
Seven Kitchens Press, as the inaugural chapbook to be reprinted
in his ReBound Series. It will be available autumn, 2009.

Guzlowski's poetry, fiction, and essays have appeared in The
Ontario Review, Garrison Keillor’s Writer’s Almanac,
Chattahoochee Review, Modern Fiction Studies, Nimrod, Margie,
Exquisite Corpse and other journals here and in Europe. His
poems about his Polish parents= experiences in Nazi
concentration camps appear in his recent books Lightning and
Ashes and Third Winter of War: Buchenwald. Third Winter was
nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. His novel manuscript "Shit
War," about German soldiers on the Eastern, has been
short-listed for the Bakeless Award. He blogs about his parents

The woman on the
horse is titled Melancholia by Jacek Malczewski (1858 - 1929).
His work is also represented by In the Dust Storm, Death 1902,
and Death 1911. Malczewski is the man in the armor in
Self-Portrait in Armor 1914.
The brightly colored garden scene with the Victorian - era
dressed woman is titled The Strange Garden, by Jozef Mehoffer
(1869 - 1946)
Tamara de Lempicka's (1898 - 1980) art is represented in
Self-portrait in the Green Bugatti, Spring, 1928, and Surrealist
Landscape. Here is a link to the biography of this relatively
unknown Polish artist who was living in Mexico when she died.
