Every language has its own beauty; it cannot remain the same
after translation. But good poetry finds its way to the readers’
minds and hearts. I hope my readers will certainly find their
way too.

If the life force of individual poets can carry
them through the attendant challenges, they will craft a poetic
language worthy of the fruits of two civilizations. In truth,
this achievement is well underway.”

Tomorrow
Dog teeth will have become piano keys
Only bone-crunching music will rate popularity in this world

To the touch
of a finger,
soft, the rose;
its petals, all tender —
petal to petal flows
the rosy hue.

ALL poetry aspires to the conditions of music. Our word for
poetry comes from the Greek and means "words of the lyre," or
words-in-music. Root word: Maker. I love music. Lots of kinds of
music, from hardcore, ....... from the jazz I grew up playing
and listening to (Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk) to Bob Dylan and early Rolling Stones. About the
only music I don't care for is opera and pop. Don't get the
former, the latter is ear pollution.

Here it is night; I stay at the Summit Temple.
Here I can touch the stars with my hand.
I dare not speak aloud in the silence
For fear of disturbing the dwellers of Heaven.
Li Po (8thcentury)
"My past is stupid butterfly’s overseas voyage.
My future is a garden where a cook cuts the throat of a rooster.
What do I have, with all my pain and rebellion?

Ah, Sun, ah, Moon,
Which rises in the east
There is a man
Who says no truth. How can he have true
Does he think he can forget me
Ah, Sun, ah, Moon,
Which rises from the east
O father, O mother,
Why was I ever born
How can he keep his oath?
Loving me beyond all reason
