LETTERS TO EDITOR

Letters to editor

Dear Rati,

Yes, the page looks good and all seems ok. Only one change: if you could add a link to my website, www.anniefinch.com, I would appreciate it.

I am happy to have my work included in this fine publication. I especially like the design and images. If you would like some poetry also, I'll be happy to send some (is it ok if it has been published in print also?)

It looks as if this may be your first issue. If so, special good luck and good wishes. I will link to the magazine from my new website, which I am just finishing.

And if you would like, I can mention it to a listserv I have started, with about 500 subscribers devoted to women's poetry.

regards,
Annie

Dear Rati,

Thank you for your nice message and for your interest in including my
artwork in Kritya! Farideh had mentioned your publication to me, and I
am honored to be considered for inclusion in it! You may certainly use
the paintings you like in the publication. I would love to email you
some files at a higher resolution (300 dpi) than what you downloaded
from my website (only 72 dpi) if you like. Please let me know if you
would like me to send these larger files. Also, only 4 images came
through in your message, and you mentioned wanting 5 paintings, so I'm
not sure what your 5th choice was. Please let me know when you get a
chance. I am including below the 4 paintings I know you were interested
in.

Thank you again for your interest, and all the best to you!

Riva

Dear Rati,
I am attaching a couple of poems - for reading only. They are not submissions. The first one is called "What I want from Rajasthan" (this has appeared in Sahitya Akademi's Indian Literature, Jan 2006). I am sure you would empathise with it. The second one called "Haunting" is inspired by your poetry and I have acknowledged this. (I have submitted this poem along with others to Muse India.) Although this poem came by after I read your work in Muse India - the concept of "dark eternity" has been haunting my poetry for sometime now. Do get back to me on this.

Regards

Usha

Dear Rati - I haven't received notification of a new issue since the web site address changed.  My e-mail is Christina Pacosz at pacosz@earthlink.net

I was delighted to see poetry by David Chorlton in the March issue who was the poet who recommended my poetry to Pudding House for their Greatest Hits Series.  He and I met while doing back-to-back artist in the schools residencies in North Carolina during the 80's.

I have also been communicating with Farideh Hasenzadeh and offering suggestions about some translations she is working on.

Thanks for doing your labor of love for almost a year.

All best,

Christina Pacosz

Thank you for your hard work and your interest in my poetry. It is fantastic that we can communicate like this, thousands of miles/kilometers away from each other. Kritya is a beautiful site, and I like the colours and the feel. It breathes 'respect'. That is how I feel it.

Best wishes,
Joop

Dear Madam,
The pages are great. Just one small correction...the poem titled "Earthy Love" is not higlighted. It is the fourth poem of the five elements theme...and it is featured in the second link that you sent me.

Regarding the write-up, I understood what you mean, and I am re-working on it by re-writing it in a different way....(like an essay)

I will send that to you by tomorrow.

Please do let me know if you would require anything else.

Regards,
Suma.V.S.

Dear Rati,
Thank you for writing and for the link.
May I send you the suggestions in a day or two?

I havent had time to do much in the last few days,as one of my dogs is terminally ill
spinal secondaries from a cancer of the mammary gland.

We will probably have to put her to sleep...a very hard decision indeed. We have had
an emotionally exhauting time and you can understand the work involved when I have to carry
her out, several times a day, to the back where she relieves herself in the mud patch.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
with best wishes,
angelee
